28 Days Challenge | Finding David 28 Days Challenge | Finding David

What It Teaches

The 28 Day Challenge is split into four different themes: Understanding God’s Love, Obeying the Call, Carrying out the Call, and Leaving Your Mark. The entire goal of the 28 Day Challenge is simply to teach young men to LIVE their faith. Through video lectures, assignments character highlights, and various engaging projects, the 28 Day Challenge will cause you to weed yourself of any remaining selfish desires and reestablish your new identity completely as a Servant of Christ.

First, we will take you through a journey which will force you to evaluate everything you have in and because of Christ. We want young men to realize that God first loved us, thus we must love Him and we have a duty to give Him our all.

The Purpose

It is our vision that FindingDavid can be a place where young men find encouragement, support, accountability, and godly counsel. In order to provide that, it is our obligation to ensure that all FindingDavid members desire the same, close relationship with their heavenly father. When it comes to accepting potential members into the community, it is not about WHERE you are in your Christian walk, but it’s about WHY you walk. The 28 Day Challenge allows us to find those young men who truly seek Christ and long for a better relationship with Him. Those are the men we want as brothers. The 28 Day Challenge is necessary so that all of our brothers are, not necessarily on the same page, but at least we are all reading the same book.

Why David

Ok, so why are we so infatuated with King David? He’s in our name and even the first two lectures in our 28 Day Challenge are on 1st and 2nd Samuel. So the question remains… Out of all of the people in the Bible to model a company after, why David?

Here’s why…

Our vision is and has always been to unite young Christian men worldwide. We wanted to unite men that shared common ground in Christ. Whether you’re from Mississippi or New York or London or Quito, young men of all ages and from all around the world share in the same struggles and same temptations. And many times, after we have failed so often in our own lives, it’s hard to look on prominent figures in society or many Biblical characters with hope because we think that we are too “messed up” to be like them. But when we look at David, we see a man beaten down time and time again by his own mistakes while dealing with his own struggles, but each time he continues to rise up against his greatest weaknesses eventually becoming one of the greatest kings in the world. We can relate to David because he was REAL.
